Facial Hair Removal
Facial hair can be removed using various methods, including temporary solutions like shaving, waxing, tweezing, and depilatory creams, or more long-term options such as laser hair removal, electrolysis, and prescription creams. Shaving is fast but results are temporary (1-3 days), while root removal methods like waxing or epilating last longer (2-6 weeks). Professional procedures like laser hair removal and electrolysis can offer permanent hair reduction.

Temporary and at-home methods
- Shaving: A fast method that cuts hair at the skin's surface. Use a clean, sharp razor with shaving cream or soap and shave in the direction of hair growth to minimize irritation. It's best for quick touch-ups but requires frequent re-shaving.
- Waxing: Removes hair from the root for results lasting up to six weeks. Apply strips in the direction of hair growth, then pull off quickly against the growth. It can be messy and difficult to do correctly at home, and repeated waxing may make hair grow back finer.
- Tweezing: Plucks individual hairs from the root. Best for small areas, but can cause inflammation or hyperpigmentation if done on sensitive skin or near moles and acne.
- Epilation: Uses a device with rotating tweezers to pull hair from the root. It can be painful, especially on sensitive skin, but provides smooth results for two to four weeks.
- Depilatory creams: These creams dissolve the hair protein, removing it at the surface. They can be a good at-home option but may cause skin irritation.
- Threading: A technique using a twisted cotton thread to pull hair from the root. It's precise and can last for several weeks.
